Performance presented by clients of the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre A theatrical trailer into the ideas, experiences and questions of Asylum Seekers living in our community - our aim being to further develop these ideas into a major production for March 2010. Asylum seekers will perform a series of short scenes and moments that express their stories. They will share on stage some of their struggles, uncertainties and realizations as people "waiting' in the immigration process" The presentation will be a collective snap shot, into some of the reasons people flee to Australia, and once they are here what happens? Experiences of fear, sleeplessness and isolation mix with dignity, resilience and humour in the hope for a 'normal life' This work in progress performance is the culmination of drama workshops that started this year. This is a lovely opportunity to meet asylum seekers, hear their stories and see them in a different dimension. The presentation promises to be an unforgettable experience.

ASRC Catering will provide delicious international cuisine prepared by asylum seekers Tickets are $10 (pre book by credit card, cheque or cash) Asylum Seekers entry is free, RSVP Essential. Please confirm your place by contacting the Arts Project Manager Heidi Abdel-Raouf on 9326-6066 or 0416 321 496 or heidi.a@asrc.org.au
